Personal finance software?

I currently have Microsoft Money Plus. We will be getting a new computer and because Microsoft is no longer making this software, I will not be allowed to install it on my new system. I bought Quicken Deluxe 2010 yesterday and simply do not like it, thus far. All I need is a checkbook, bill calander and budget. I have been looking on download.com, does anyone have a program they recommend? Also, I want a program that will be on my computer, not one that I have to log into online like mint.com. Thanks!
I love Ace Money! This is extremely similiar to microsoft, even the buttons look the same. For some reason it’s not allowing me to choose a best answer, but once it does, it will be yours! Thanks so much! I already like this program better than Quicken!

  1. Oh, how I loved my Microsoft Money.
You will hear that from any ex-user – not just you!!!!
I looked into Quicken – and was just too cheap to pay for it.
I found a program that is just a:
Check register, and it shows you pie charts and graphs of where your money is going for whatever period you want.
    I like it – it’s all I needed.
You mentioned you needed a budgeter – we’ve never done budgeters.
Microsoft money taught me how to have savings goals, and I look and make sure that 15% of the pie chart has savings in it, monthly, yearly, quarterly.

    AceMoneyLite
Free to download – allows just for one checking account – if more – you have to pay.
I love it – but remember – I am pretty sure it doesnt have a budgeter.
Just great charts and graphs, and great reports!!!

  2. If all you need is a check book program and a bill calender Excel works great and is easy to set up, and If you have Outlook you could use the calender in it for your bills.
