Qi Gong Vs. Acupuncture?
I’ve been doing qi gong for a little bit now and am thinking about doing qi gong or acupuncture for a living. However, If I just do the qi gong, then I don’t need to go to school for 3 or 4 yrs to practice.
What is the difference between the 2 approaches in terms of their healing ability? Why would someone who knows both acupuncture and qigong choose one over the other when healing a patient?
Thanks Jabril,
But I don’t think you understand what Qi Gong therapy is in this sense. I’m not having the patient do the Qi Gong… I do the qi gong and they simply lie down and relax while I use my (the universes) energy to heal them.
N8… there are 2 ways to practice Qi Gong. You can do it yourself, or you can be a master healer. Do some research on google. My qi gong master does healing therapy for people and I know someone else who has their own institute where they do healing for people as well. She does hands on and my master does not even touch the person. I’m sorry but you don’t know what you are talking about.

The additional details you include say much. To see yourself as "the healer" and your clients as receptacles of your healing is at its foundation flawed. Qi gong is meant to be experienced by the practitioner (client) because it’s their healing (not your magical powers) that is key.
Acupuncture, like qi gong, moves energy but acupuncture is like the medical practice of moving energy while qi gong is a lifestyle practice of energy gathering and movement.
I think you need to spend more time with a qi gong master and recognize that if you help people find healing, it’s not about you.
It’s like you’re comparing Apples and Oranges.
for someone who’s physically fit and can do Qi Gong that therapy may be beneficial to them for the healing. Yet, someone who is not physically fit may need the Acupuncture. Yet, both therapies may be beneficial for either cases. As an Alternative Doctor, you would do some assessing to determine the correct therapy.
